Looking over to the Hambleton Hills in the East, our beautifully designed and built single storey cottage lays tucked away adjacent to our old family farmhouse.

Ideal for those looking for quality, luxury and comfortable modern facilities in a rural farm setting, Morndyke Cottage has all the qualities of a country escape. The french windows in the living room open onto your patio that has chairs, a table and a fire pit to keep you warm and comfortable on a Summer’s evening. This then leads onto the old English garden that in turn leads to the stunning and bespoke parrot sanctuary - home to rescued and rehomed angels that were no longer wanted through no fault of their own.

Sit on the patio and admire the stunning beauty of our sanctuary parrots as they play and chat and live a life of relative freedom in their private aviary at the bottom of the garden. The garden nestles up to the hay field where the swallows dance over the grass, and horses come in from their fields and rest in the quiet of their stables.

The cottage has recently been renovated with great attention to detail and luxury in mind. It is equipped with exceptional quality furniture and fittings - no expense has been spared. All your comforts have been kept in mind for a holiday to remember. Underfloor heating ensures your warmth and comfort in the colder months too. In a addition to this, the cottage is equipped with free WiFi and Netflix for guests.

The cottage is a single storey building comprising of a small kitchen with breakfast bar, kitted out with Emma Bridgewater crockery and kitchenware, a microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, fridge and cooker and a full range of utensils, cutlery and cookware.

The kitchen leads onto the living room which has been beautifully designed with Barker and Stonehouse furniture, a TV with Netflix, DVD player, books and board games for your entertainment if the weather takes a turn for the worse. There is an electric wood burning stove, sofa and armchair, coffee table, dining room table and chairs provided if you chose to stay in for the evening.

Your own utility and drying room holds the freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and all laundry and cleaning equipment- it’s a great place to keep your wellies and dry your coats in too.

Morndyke Cottage has two luxurious bedrooms kitted out with Laura Ashley soft furnishings. Both have views over the garden to the pastured fields beyond. The master bedroom and single bedroom allow for a range of sleeping options for your comfort and peace. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable with crisp white linen sheets and luxurious and comfortable beds (one King size and one single) to ensure a good night’s sleep after a day breathing in the fresh country air.

The bathroom lies between the bedrooms and comprises of a large shower unit, toilet and sink. There are complementary Duck Island products and waffle cotton bath robes can be provided for your convenience.

Open all year round, the minimum stay is 2 nights. Morndyke Cottage can sleep up to 3 people, we allow 1 child aged 12 or over to stay as long as they are sensible and calm near livestock. Arrival is from 3pm onwards and and departure is before 10am. Morndyke Cottage, the farm yard, farm and garden are a smoking free area. We welcome dogs at Morndyke Cottage and have our own two resident dogs. They are two small friendly and fun dogs that crave fuss and attention from visitors and are cheeky rascals. The cottage garden is enclosed for your own dog, all we ask is that you keep your dog on a lead at all times around all other areas of the farm.
